A lot of people inspire or get motivated to clean the beach sides which are now treated as dumping land but it needs real guts to do so.
Most of the travelers are attracted either towards mountains or Beaches. Mountains give them a feeling of being closer to the sky where beaches give the feeling of being closer to the sea. Beaches across the world have different ambiance and different vibes. People travel across the globe to see the sun coming up from the sea and the sun going down into the sea. One of the most popular destinations in India for beaches is Karnataka. People from all parts of the country visit place to embrace the beautiful beaches. But the situation around the beaches is changing rapidly because of the increased tourism. Many beaches are turning into waste sides or dumping lands by tourists and local people. People shamelessly dump their waste on beaches openly and just because of these actions, seashores are converting to dumping yards.

A lot of people inspire or get motivated to clean the beach sides which are now treated as dumping land but it needs real guts to do so. A newly married couple who used to spent their time at one of the beaches in Baindur was seeing their time spending spot to becoming a dumping land. So they decided to clean the beach instead of going on their honeymoon.

Anudeep Hegde and Minusha Kancha started to clean the Someshwara beach in Baindur (hometown of Anudeep) at the end of November. They have decided to spend their time cleaning the place which used to be their time spending spot. Anudeep has experience in a beach cleaning campaign. The duo didn’t ask for anybody’s help but after some days local volunteers joined them and clean the beach about 80% in a span of about two weeks. They collected about 800 Kg of trash which includes alcohol bottles, slippers, clothes, and other plastic items. The collected trash has been taken by the local municipality workers. After this successful campaign, the couple wishes to continue the momentum and work for the marine and land ecosystem. In a conversation, he accused the blocked drainage systems because of which at the time of rain, whole garbage from sewage lines came out and settle at the seashore.
This is not the first instance that such a type of campaign is being done. There are plenty of campaigns that have previously run and many more that we will see in the future. But the question is that, can we avoid these types of campaigns? For me, the answer is yes. We can certainly change our habit of throwing garbage all around the places that will help in reducing the waste in public places. What are your thoughts on that, do comment in the comment section and let us know about your ideas.
