The conversation of wildlife is
one of the issues that the whole world is facing for decades. Many species of
plants and animals extinct and many species are on the verge of extinction. Also
many of our wildlife extinct in the process of urbanization and in development projects.
People across the world want to fully utilize the lands for their own purposes.
Even they didn’t want to give their small piece of land without any compensation,

The story started back in 1998 when Aditya Singh quits his civil services job in Delhi and shifted to Sawai Madhopur city in Rajasthan. He was in love with wildlife, they started their tourist resort near Ranthambore Tiger Reserve that was the main source of their earnings. They bought barren land near the boundary of the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and leave it after removing invasive species. Gradually the land recovers from barren to a lush green piece of forest. Simultaneously, the couple starts to buy lands adjacent to their land. The land was near the Tiger Reserve so farmers sell it easily. After buying land for around 20 years, the land is now transformed into a piece of a forest of 40 acres. The small forest that they generate is under the Bhadlav village.

Animals like Deer, Nilgai (Blue Bull), Wild Boars, and Tigers can be seen easily in this area. Two water holes developed naturally which now ensures that animals will get the excess supply of water even in the summers. Most of the area of Ranthambore is barren, Tigers find shelter, easily find their prey and water supplies in the developed forest area. Now, this forest is home to 5 Tigers and many more wild animals.

Mr. Singh often receives offers for projects in his area and sometimes receives notices for not developing the area, but he is on his way to make the life of animals easier. He is also working with the forest department and other various agencies to monitor the progress of the area. Aditya and his wife Poonam saw this dream 20 years back after seeing a Tiger with her 3 cubs on a mountain in Tiger Reserve and at that only moment, Poonam decided to do something for wildlife conservation. Twenty years down the line, they are happy and doing efforts for wildlife conservation. Aditya is now getting queries from different states that how they can develop similar forest areas.
These are the efforts of people like Aditya and Poonam because of which, India is able to gain forest areas equivalent to the area of Ireland in three decades. At present, India’s 25% area is covered by trees and the country is planning to make it to 33% and people like Aditya and Poonam are proving themselves as assets for government.
