The most common Chinese apps in the market are the UC Browser, TikTok, Cam Scanner, Likee, Clash of Kings, and We Chat. All these apps have more than Billions of downloads individually.
From the first day when the current government came to the power in 2014, one of the key focus areas was to make in India, government invest a huge sum of money in projects under the various sectors like manufacturing, SME (Small to Medium Enterprises), MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) and many more. But the output was not that fruitful, as the mission does not become a big success. Now, the government has initiated the same mission with a different name i.e. “Aatmanirbar Bharat Abhiyan”. The government is trying to provide the platforms for the various small sectors in India like the recent 3 Lakh Crore relief package for the MSME sector.
It’s been more than a decade (12 years) since the first android smartphone was launched by HTC since then there is an exponential increase in the features of android smartphones. One of the main features of this growth was applications for different purposes. Many businesses are launching their apps these contain all the relevant features required for the app consumer. As the demand for smartphones starts to increase, the demand market of applications also increases. After the USA, China is the second country which launches major applications and is available on the Google Play store. The most common Chinese apps in the market are the UC Browser, TikTok, Cam Scanner, Likee, Clash of Kings, and We Chat. All these apps have more than Billions of downloads individually. Recently TikTok was in news with the controversy going on between the Youtubers and TikTokers, the audience from both sides shows support for their artists. After that a series of negative reviews on the Google Play store for TikTok start and lead the rating of TikTok from 4.4 to 1.2, after that Google deleted millions of reviews that are against TikTok. These all are the social media fights that happen all over the internet.
The real retaliation against the Chinese products and Chinese apps started when the tension increases on LAC (Line of Actual Control) in Galwan Valley when our 20 soldiers sacrificed their lives to protect the motherland. This started a social moment across the nation against China. Parallel to this, our honorable Prime Minister in his address to the nation, gave stress on the local vocal concept and lead the foundation for Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. All this happening in the country, there was a huge demand from the public to ban Chinese products and the applications in India. In return for that, the Government of India on 29 June had banned 59 Chinese applications, now these 59 applications cannot be excessed in India.
We as the public don’t know how much longer this ban will continue but till this ban continues, it will give a chance to Indian apps which are having the same concept as the banned Chinese apps. And further, this will contribute to Aatmanirbar Bharat Abhiyan.
